While visiting our mutual friend, Rachel, in Minnesota, my friend Katie decided to get a tattoo and asked me to design it. Since she is one of my favorite people, and also because I could not resist the opportunity to brand a close friend with my artwork, of course I agreed and set about it immediately. Because she has long held a fancy for the mystery of old keys, she asked for a line drawn key (of dimensions that currently escape me). These are the designs I came up with:
