Happy New Year
The word “resolution” has the sound of an impossible-to-keep solemn promise. Whether it’s from years of failure to keep them, or an actual quality of the word, I’m not sure. But I make goals instead… not just on the New Year, but all year round. Also, the nice thing about goals is that you don’t have to start running from the gate, so to speak. They’re something to aspire to, something to work towards. The start/end of the year is but a neat little checkpoint.
Good luck on all of your aspirations!
Hey! Just saw from your twitter post that you have a blog! I think the health goals are great! Last year I did the no soda + no fast food in February and lost ~25 pounds over the course of the year without even really working out. Also did wonders for my blood pressure!
Best of luck! It’s a great, positive change to make!
Ben actually said he got the idea from you, so thanks for the well wishes and also kicking my husband into gear. I’ve been trying to get him to quit soda forever! I know it’s only been a week but I’m surprised and proud he’s made it this long. I think we will make good on it. 🙂
