…or not.
I love the local town center. Not only is there a little dog park with cute amenities like giant bone-shaped benches and people-sized dog-houses, but the comic book store allows dogs, too. Science and I picked up the newest copy of Marceline and the Scream Queens, with the Lemongrab variant cover. It was totally math. You can’t possibly understand how happy I was to know that the reason Octopus Pie hasn’t been updated as regularly lately is because Meredith Gran is working on Marceline.
Science was so good! Though, she does get pretty distracted when there are people around. She just loves everybody so much. Silly puppy!
I was supposed to have work training this week, so Ben took Science to work with him, yesterday. Then my boss called and told me that training was being pushed to Saturday, so I took the opportunity of not having to puppy sit to draw a buffer. So naturally all the strips I drew were about Science.
While at Ben’s work, she met her cousin, Bebop. I was under the impression they had the same mommy, Abby, but I guess not? Apparently Bebop got teased for being a small dog… until Science came to visit. Science is roughly half of her full weight right now. I was telling Ben I wish she’d stay at her present size forever (just slightly bigger than my dear departed cat) but I suppose I’ll be okay with her gaining a few more inches. Though, when she grows up, I probably won’t be as cool with her launching herself at me while I’m still in bed in the morning….
For my birthday, I’d asked for a Sans Rival cake, which is a Filipino delicacy of French origin. It’s basically a dacquoise, with layers of cashews, meringue, and buttercream frosting. Tasty, but not easy to cut into.
Sans Rival means “without rival.” There was no leftover cake from my party, even though it did take forever to cut and serve.
